A one hour documentary about the characters, the art, the history and the landscapes of this part of Tuscany northern coast called Versilia. Known for its fashionable Riviera resorts and clubs, frequented by local celebrities, it is also the home for many international artists and writers.

Versilia is part of Tuscany, in the northern-western province of Lucca and the southern part of Massa-Carrara. It was named after the Versilia river. Known for its fashionable localities like Forte dei Marmi, Pietrasanta, Viareggio and its fashionable Riviera resorts and clubs along the coastline, frequented by celebrities.
The coast is sandy sloping gradually from the foot of the Apuan Alps into the Ligurian Sea which stretches from Carrara to the Piombino promontory, in front of Isola d'Elba.
Celebrities from Versilia include Giacomo Puccini, Gabriele d'Annunzio, Carlo Collodi, the creator of Pinochio and more recently the Colombian artist Fernando Botero who decided to establish his artists' studio in Pietrasanta.
