TROIKA IN POLAND

A half-hour travel documentary on a troika race across the Białowieża forest, a vast territory consisting of the remnants of several primeval and virgin forest, close to Belarus, known worldwide for the breeding grounds of the last European bisons.

Hunted to near extinction the bisons were reintroduced from captivity in the early 20th century.

15 crews each led by an experienced coachman will compete in narrow snowy forest roads. The route has five stages. The time of each competitor, to go from one stage to another, is counted. The winning crew is the one that took the least time for each of the stages.
