A half-hour documentary on Caviar. The best Caviar has always been traditionally from Iran, more exactly from the Caspian sea.
We joined the fishermen in their frail little wooden boats on the Caspian sea to capture the three types of sturgeons found there : Belugas, Ossetras and Sevrugas. We see them returning to the fishing stations for the delicate operations of extracting the precious roe, the salting and the canning process.
In the second part of the film, we are showing Caviar as it is served at the most famous Chefs' tables and in the most prestigious and elegant places in the world.
