Alp Action’s role and mission is to contribute concretely to the preservation of the Alps through exclusive One-company – One-project Sponsorship / Partnership. The natural and cultural diversity and vitality of the Alps can be preserved in perpetuity, with local and international action.

 

Alp Action projects contribute to preserving flora, fauna, rivers and mountain lakes, encouraging traditional agriculture, crafts, traditions and rehabilitating historical sites.

Among the 140 already achieved projects:

A Green Roof for Europe: a campaign to preserve forests, the natural habitats of threatened species of flora and fauna for the safety of mountain communities. More than 500.000 trees have been planted in 6 Alpine countries: France, Switzerland, Slovenia, Germany, Austria, Italy. (Milka Suchard)

The Timberland Trail in the Lauterbrunnen Reserve, stretching 7 kilometers, involved the restoration of an ancient pasture route which now allows hikers to discover Alpine fauna. The preservation of ancient crafts and the restoration of high-pasture chalets. (Zschokke Hol dings construction firm)

The Gypætus Barbatus the release of first French-born of the largest of Alpine birds (wingspan: 9 feet)  in the French Haute Savoie on June 1991 (Safra Republic Holdings).

The Tour de Beauvivier on the shores of the Lake of Annecy, Alp Action has restored and converted this 12th Century building into a nature-observation tower (Fondation de France)

The Hohenfreyberg castle  Bavaria’s largest Mediæval castle, that inspired King Ludwig II’s grandiose building schemes, restored according to rigorous archeological rules. (Ebel watches)

The Butterfly Sanctuaries in Western Bavaria at Halblech/Bannwald. following the purchase in 1992 of rich prairy land on behalf of the Swiss League for the Protection of Nature (Clarins)

The Transalpine Roman Consular Way to Gaul   Alp Action and the region of Aosta jointly restored sections of the 2000 years old trail to promote eco-tourism in the area (Ebel watches)

The Dolcianian Way, a 2-day historical and nature discovery trail running under the towering Monte Rosa. (Ermenegildo Zegna)

The Church of San Donato  Alp Action has contributed to the complete restoration of the “Sistine Chapel of Italian Ceramics”.  as described by Carlo Levi. (Aeroleasing)
